Using Verse to Give Your Birth Announcement Just the Right Tone

When choosing a birth announcement to introduce your new baby to friends and family, one thing you want to remember is to select a card that reflects your family's unique personality. This card may be tucked into a baby book, included in a scrapbook, or pressed between pages of the family Bible. If your religion is an important aspect of your life, you may want to include a birth announcement verse.

Including a special birth announcement verse is one way to ensure the card will be special to you and all who receive it. Where should you look for such a verse? The first place you may want to turn to is your Bible. Here you can find many passages that speak of children being blessings from God and created by God. A few verses to consider include Psalm 127 verse 3, which says, "Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a blessing from him," and Psalm 139:13, which says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb." Another verse you may want to consider is found in Mark, chapter 10 verse 14, where Jesus says, "Let the little children come to me."

You may have a favorite Bible verse that you would love to include on your announcement. Remember, this is your baby announcement - you can use any passage that is important to you. You may also wish to speak to your minister or pastor for more ideas on appropriate scriptures, or even other members of your Church family. By showcasing a scripture verse, you will let everyone know that you are giving glory to God for your wonderful gift of new life. The special verse can be written across the top of your announcement, perhaps surrounded by a wreath of pretty flowers or lush greenery. You can also include images of a cross, peaceful white doves, or two hands clasped in prayer as if giving thanks for your new blessing.

Of course, you don't have to use a Bible verse on your birth announcement. You can find many special poems or sayings that can also be included on your card. Verses of beautiful poetry will add sophistication and charm to your announcement and using passages such as these allows you to share favorite literary works with your nearest and dearest. Including a circle of cheery spring clipart flowers around the verse or a cluster of pretty wildflowers at the end of the saying will be sure to draw attention to your special poem. Consider the wording of the poem when thinking of images; perhaps a cherubic angel on a glistening white cloud would be appropriate, or a fluffy white rabbit with long velvet ears and a tiny pink nose.

Accenting your birth announcement with a special verse is a wonderful way to personalize your baby's birth announcement card. You can also share your faith in God or love of literature with those closest to you as you celebrate your perfect new arrival.
